Carnival Craziness

Well, it must be summer because every weekend is slam jam ram packed full of fun activities, events and hopefully sunshine! This Saturday 29th June I shall be officially opening the Bearsted & Thurnham Carnival & Fayre (see map) and so please come along and say hello, have your picture taken with me, ask me weather questions – or just have a natter with me over a cuppa or an ice cream!

*Weather update* (As of Thursday 27th June) – It is looking absolutely lovely for Saturday – just what we want!  Staying DRY, with a 10mph NW’ly wind, and some great sunny spells.  Not wall to wall sunshine but at least it’s not snowing/raining/thundering!

I will also be judging various competitions throughout the day – so read more if you’d like to enter or if you know some budding competitive spirits! All that’s left now is to forecast some sunshine…

Blean Woodland Festival

Hope everyone is set for Sunday’s wonderful Blean Woodland Festival!  It’s a free event for all the family and I shall be there joining in the archery, tasting honey straight from the bees and maybe even trying out a bit of Morris Dancing!  It would be a pleasure to meet you, have my picture taken with you, and maybe even sit and have a cup of tea and debate how the summer’s shaping up!

I’ll be there on Sunday 2nd…along with the sunshine I hope!
