As part of my training for Kilimanjaro (details of this madness here!) I have signed up to the Fosters Law Coastal Half – a stunning route around the Thanet coast in Kent. It’s on 1st September, and whilst I will be focused on trekking the route (I will do it with a loaded rucksack and weights – Just to make it more fun you understand!) I would still love to encourage as many of you to take part in it as possible.
So, if I organise the sunshine, and dry and cool weather with a light wind, will you join in or come along and support me? It would be a pleasure to see you there!
If you want to find out more or book yourself in for this beautiful Half Marathon sign up here
And if you’re even crazier you can do the full marathon too! The route is pretty undulating for both, but the coastal scenery is spectacular and the marshalling support second to none. There are plenty of water stations along the route, with gels for the marathon runners. All finishers will get a beautiful medal and a goody bag which will include something to eat and drink, plus a technical t-shirt. There’s also talk of some music/live band at the start and finish to add to the atmosphere – what’s not to love?!
