Am back after a super cracking holiday in Cape Verde – thoroughly recommend it! Went Island hopping for 2 weeks and whilst some parts are still very remote they are beautiful islands and it was a very cool place. Lovely to be back home though enjoying the English ‘summer’…
However, more importantly I have loads of news to tell you! Firstly, before I went away I visited Hyundai in Tunbridge Wells in order to hand over a cheque for £1000 to Demelza House. Hyundai hosted a fashion show in March to raise money for Demelza and one of the catwalk themes was based on the snazzy new Hyundai Veloster. Kent College’s talented fashion students designed the clothes and I was honoured to be one of the judges! It turned out to be a trickier job than you might imagine with dresses made out of cd’s, tyre prints and upholstery – all looking uber fab and funky! However Aniqah Cassem’s stood out more than the others and she was chosen as the winner, taking home the prize of a photography session with mirrorimagephotography.co.uk
Left to Right: Aniqah Cassem, me, Karen Warner from Demelza House and Dean Stoner (Dealer Principal from Hyundai).
Although I wasn’t actually in the fashion show, Aniqah allowed me to wear her quirky dress for the presentation (and says she’ll make me one of my own to keep too. Well, I do have the heels to match, so why not?!). However you may want to see it modelled properly by the actual model on the night…and you can get an idea of how it wowed the crowd!
Realising the contrast between how it looked on the model and how ‘strained’ it looked on me I now introduce you to my next project. I am going to get bikini fit for the summer! Bring on Mirka Harper – my first ever personal fitness expert. I will let you know how it goes!
