Celebrity shoe auction!

BREAKING NEWS!  Gary Barlow has now donated his Jubilee shoes to the auction…this is awesome!  The signed shoes were specially made for the Take That lead singer and have the Union Jack and lyrics of Sing, the Jubilee song, inscribed on the sole. These one of a kind shoes will go onto eBay on Tuesday 10th July for two weeks to allow as many fans as possible the opportunity to bid.

Gary recently received an OBE in recognition of his efforts in organising the musical extravaganza and writing the commemorative song Sing.

And if you fancy stepping into the shoes, literally, of some of your other favourite stars then please read on!  Normal Cook, Kim Wilde, Jane Torvill, and cough cough, a certain weather lass…?  Well now you can!

Norman Cook, Kim Wilde, Jane Torvill, Sophie Kinsella (author of the shop-a-holic books), Peter James (best selling crime author), Kim Woodburn, David Stockdale (goalie for Fulham FC), Lewis Moody (former England rugby captain), Tommy Elphick (football player for Brighton & Hove Albion FC) and top world ranked tennis player Ana Ivanovic are some of the celebrities who have kindly donated their beloved shoes for the fundraising extravaganza.

All these wonderful shoes, and many more, will be auctioned for The Horder Centre – a specialist orthopaedic centre on the doorstep of the stunning Ashdown Forest.

Top right of shot: Sandy coloured trainers are Norman Cooks (I had a good sniff and fortunately they don’t smell!)

Bottom left of shot: Sparkle tastic ones donated by ice skating legend Jane Torvill

And on the RHS of frame, the blue strappy ones: Mine!  You will have spotted these on air, on BBC South East Today many times before, and they could be yours!  They were kindly donated by Love Is…Boutique  a pre-loved clothes and accessories boutique in Tunbridge Wells.  You can’t fail to pop in there and find yourself something snazzy, unique and bargainous!  Thanks girls!

And thank you to Ciaran McCrickard/Connors for the photos.
