24-36 hour forecast

The latest data came out at 320pm and here’s the update (in bold)

Have your brolly at the ready because we shall be bombarded with our friends Windy and Rainy by tomorrow afternoon.

The rest of today will remain dry, but with a noticeable 10-15mph breeze.  However come tomorrow the best of the weather will be in the morning.  A dry and bright start but rain spreading into Sussex, West Kent and Surrey after midday.  Most likely it’ll be raining from Redhill, to Crawley to Haywards Heath and Brighton by about 1pm, and gradually pushing eastwards to reach all parts of Kent by 3 or 4pm.  It’ll then clear the East Kent coast by 7/8pm (assuming the little toe rag doesn’t slow down…as it often does).  The rain will come hand in hand with a strengthening south-westerly wind 15-20mph.  So in summary, tomorrow afternoon not a great time to be out doing your shopping/gardening/outdoor faffing!  Amounts of rain could be as much as 5mm, but I think most of us will only get 2-3mm, so no need to call out Noah.
At the moment Thursday just looks like sunshine and showers, but if you want to find out what could be on the cards beyond Weds/Thurs then please take a look at the promising signs of an incoming heatwave here

And finally, thanks to some clever gadgetry I shall soon be bringing you a video forecast – so please subscribe to this site to be emailed with the most up to date video forecast, presented lovingly by yours truly!
